Our commitment.
We design, build, and maintain the Site so that information and functionality are accessible to people with a range of abilities, needs, and preferences. We treat accessibility as a design and engineering responsibility rather than an afterthought, and we evaluate the Site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) on an ongoing basis.
Conformance target.
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard most widely referenced by accessibility legislation around the world, including the United States ADA Title III framework, EU Web Accessibility Directive expectations for the private sector where applicable, and the UK Equality Act's "reasonable adjustments" principle.
The Site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content may not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We continue to identify and remediate gaps.
What we do.
The following measures are part of how we build and maintain the Site:
- Semantic HTML so headings, lists, landmarks, and form controls communicate the right meaning to assistive technologies
- Keyboard accessibility on every interactive element — links, buttons, form fields, dropdowns, and the contact form can be operated without a mouse
- Visible focus indicators that meet WCAG 2.1 contrast and visibility expectations
- Text and background colour combinations chosen to meet at least the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required for normal text and 3:1 for large text
- ARIA labels and `aria-required` attributes on form fields, with descriptive error messaging when validation fails
- Skip-target patterns and a structure that respects reading order
- Alt text on photographic and informational imagery; decorative imagery is marked appropriately so it does not clutter screen reader output
- Responsive layouts that work down to 320 pixels wide and up through ultra-wide displays without horizontal scrolling at standard zoom levels
- Forms that gracefully handle errors with both visual and programmatic feedback
- Avoidance of automatic motion, autoplay video, and time-based content that cannot be paused
Compatibility.
The Site is designed to be compatible with current versions of the following browsers and assistive technologies:
- Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari (current and one prior major version)
- Screen readers: NVDA on Windows, JAWS on Windows, and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
- Voice control: Voice Control on macOS and iOS, Voice Access on Android
- Zoom and magnification: browser zoom up to 200% and OS-level magnification
The Site is not actively tested against older browsers (Internet Explorer is not supported) or unmaintained assistive technologies. If you rely on a specific setup we have not listed, please contact us — we will do what we can to help.
Known limitations.
Despite our efforts, you may encounter some areas where accessibility is not yet fully met. Known limitations include:
- Some third-party embeds (for example, Google reCAPTCHA on form submissions) are not under our direct control. Where these affect accessibility, we work with the third party where possible or provide alternative paths to the same outcome.
- PDF or other downloadable documents linked from the Site may not always be fully tagged for accessibility. We are progressively reviewing and remediating these.
- Detail pages for botanical sourcing capabilities and individual insights articles vary in length and structure; long-form articles use semantic headings to support navigation, but the table of contents pattern is not yet implemented site-wide.
If you find a barrier we have not listed, please tell us — see the next section.
Feedback and contact.
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the Site. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have a suggestion for improvement, or need information in an alternative format, please contact us. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to resolve confirmed accessibility issues as quickly as is practicable.

Where appropriate, please describe the page or feature where you encountered a barrier, the assistive technology or browser you were using, and what you were trying to accomplish. The more context we have, the faster we can fix the issue.

Assessment approach.
We assess accessibility through a combination of automated testing (axe-core and similar tools integrated into our development pipeline), manual keyboard and screen reader testing, and periodic external review. We document findings, triage them by severity, and address them through our normal engineering process.
This statement was last reviewed on May 11, 2026. We review it at least annually, and after any significant change to the Site.
